About me: School and Career

It has been a long 7 years but I am finally here! My college journey was hard but I am almost kissing the light at the end of the tunnel!———–

I believe that my Communications Studies at Governors State University, combined with my practical experience and passion for showing the positivity in social media, make me an excellent candidate for this position and I am excited to get started on this journey.

My concentration in Human Communication and Social media has prepared me well for the specific field through life experience as well as college courses such as Communication Ethics, Public Speaking, Speech Persuasion, Interpersonal Communication, Self-Esteem in Social Media, Small Group Communication and Leadership in Communication. I am also proficient in the latest versions of Windows and Mac OS X, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Social Media outlets such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Along with college experience, I even started a summer dance program for the last 3 years and advertised the dance camp through Facebook and Instagram. Since then I have been offered to help other local small business through social media advertising. My real world experience has helped me develop strong verbal and communication skills, the ability to multi-task with efficiency; to be organized and punctual; and attentive to detail.

You will also want to know that I worked part time while I was a full time student. As a result, I not only have strong academic preparation, but I have a great deal of work experience that reinforced and informed my class work. My real world work experience has strengthened my work ethic by putting me in challenging situations, which developed skills such as credibility, multi-tasking, and problem solving along with the ability to be successful in independent and group projects; cohesive personality with co-workers; strong leadership skills.

I am so excited to graduate and to begin my dream career!
